A beautiful visit at the Keltic Lodge

Just a few short days ago, I was eating a delicious breakfast as I watched the morning fog dissipate from the bottom of Cape Breton’s Highlands near Ingonish and wishing I did not have to leave. My partner and I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at the Keltic Lodge for their “Clear the Cupboards Weekend.” We enjoyed a one-night stay, complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner, musical entertainment in the evening and a bottle of Jost wine.

It was such a great beautiful experience for us. Here are some reasons why:

  1. The staff was friendly, welcoming and treated us like family. For example, one server went to get me a second bowl of soup even though it was a buffet dinner. When our reservation for dinner went missing, they found us a table so we did not have to come back later.
  2. The hotel can be found in one of the most beautiful places on earth, on the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton Island. I cannot stress enough the beauty of this corner of the world when the fall colours are out.
  3. The hotel was amazing. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms comfortable and the amenities everything you could need.

If you are ever looking for an extra special weekend, whether it is spring, summer or especially fall, consider the Keltic Lodge. You won’t regret it.

So… a few more things to remember:

Take many pictures.

Makes lots of memories.

Enjoy every minute.
And…
Don’t forget to say Hi to Cassie and Susan. If you’re lucky enough to sit at their table, they will treat you well!
